Sad Sappy Sucker (2001)

Originally intended to be their debut, this album was shelved until it was finally released on the heels of The Moon & Antarctica. Not much changed to the album in the period from recording to release, except for the addition of the last nine tracks, which were all taken from Brock's answering machine. Probably their least contentious album, but still worthy of a listen.

Chokin on a mouthful of lost thoughts.

Blood Sugar Sex Magik (1991)

The album that launched RHCP into the international spotlight, it's a huge shift from their previous album and is considered one of the catalysts for the alternative boom of the 90's.

There is no other memory so sad and sweet, I'll see you soon, save me a seat.

Motorcade of Generosity (1994)

Their debut album, mostly known for "Rock 'N' Roll Lifestyle". It is, as you would expect, a strong album that is certainly one of my favorites. Also, if you want interesting lyrics, this album does not disappoint.

Your feet are dry with the ashes from dead babies.

Yellow & Elephant (2008)

Indie with prog influence. Neither yellow nor elephants are mentioned.

No music can think.

Prolonging the Magic (1998)

The band's third album, most notable for the single "Never There". The album was recorded after the departure of their original guitarist, and features a rotating number of different musicians to replace him (most notably a member of !!!). Interestingly enough, this album was given a parental advisory sticker on some copies of the CD even though the lyrics contain no profanity. On these versions of the CD, the first track is shortened to "Motor".

Rage Against the Machine (1992)

The debut self-titled album by the very political band. This album is held in high regard on its high production value, often used by some audiophiles to test speakers.

The Dark Side of the Moon (2009)

Officially titled "The Flaming Lips and Stardeath and White Dwarfs with Henry Rollins and Peaches Doing The Dark Side of the Moon", this is a cover of Pink Floyd's seminal 1973 album, performed by The Flaming Lips (and friends).

There's someone in my head but it's not me.

Them Crooked Vultures (2009)

Them Crooked Vulture's self-titled release, an excellent album and with Josh Homme taking lead vocals and guitar, this plays out much like a Queens of the Stone Age album. Not that that's a bad thing, of course. Dave Grohl of Foo Fighters on drums, John Paul Jones of Led Zeppelin on bass.

No one can make me cry.

Comfort Eagle (2001)

The fourth album from the Sacramento based alternative rock band, fairly popular for the single "Short Skirt/Long Jacket". This album is a prime example of the band as a whole, and still remains one of my favorite albums of theirs.

Brothers (2010)

Certainly worthy of a Grammy, I'd say. Considering the band is a duo, I'd have to say that's just a little more than impressive. Alternative music at its finest.

Weezer (1994)

I guess I should start with a classic, right? As with every album uploaded, I ripped this one myself from my physical copy. While it may not be all that difficult to find in lossless nowadays, it certainly seems like a great idea to make it much more convenient and upload here. Don't worry, there will be quite a lot more albums down the line that will be harder to find.
